Weddings in Rajasthan remain some of my favorite events to photograph. After the recent wedding photography workshop in Jaipur, I was very thrilled to stay a bit longer to document Sushmita and Julien’s grand celebration. I remember perfectly the first time I talked to Julien. On a trip to Middle East at that time, we exchanged a few times over the phone. Julien is a french guy living in New York and originally from the North of France (my homeplace). The connection was immediate and I already felt I would be on their side for the wedding. The Samode Palace Jaipur, located 40km north of the City, was the former residence of the Maharaja. The heritage monument is a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani influences and some rooms are extremely photogenic such as the Haveli lounge and the Sheesh Mahal (Room of Mirrors). Congratulations to our beautiful couple!! We even had the opportunity to shoot a post-wedding session in New York the following week but that will make another post on the blog.
