Moneesha and Ojus’ wedding was the last event of my trip to India this year and what an event! An intimate Jain Catholic wedding! Moneesha (she is a semi-pro dancer) and Ojus both grew up in Mumbai and Moneesha’s family has some portuguese roots from Goa (that explains the catholic influence). Jainism is an ancient religion in India that teaches the way to divine consciousness and liberation. The intimate wedding ceremony (about 25 people) was held on a warm and sunny day in Moneesha’s family fisherman house in West Bandra. The day after, the wedding reception was hosted at the beautiful Sea Princess Hotel beachfront in Juhu, the Bollywood stars area.
