The photograph people see before they meet you

Somebody looks you up before the meeting. They find one picture, and they decide something about you from it before you have said a word. Most of the time that picture is a cropped wedding photo, a badly lit phone shot, or a headshot from a job two roles ago. It is doing work on your behalf whether you chose it or not. I photograph individual professionals in Dubai — founders, consultants, lawyers, doctors, agents, creatives — so that the picture doing that work is one you actually chose. Not a corporate ID photo. A portrait that looks like the person who walks into the room.

What a session looks like

We start with a short conversation about where the images are going to live. A LinkedIn profile, a speaker bio, a company About page, a press kit and a personal website all want slightly different things, and it is easier to shoot for that than to crop for it afterwards. Then we photograph. I bring a full portable studio setup, so we can work in your office, in a meeting room, at home, or on location anywhere in Dubai. No hired studio, no travelling across town in traffic before you have even started. You get several looks and several backgrounds in one sitting — a clean neutral background for the formal use, and something with more of a room in it for the profile pictures and the website. Different jacket, different setup, same hour. Most people arrive convinced they are bad in front of a camera. Almost nobody is. It is a technical problem and it is my job, not yours. I direct as much as you need and no more. Sessions run about 45–90 minutes.

Where we shoot in Dubai

Your office is usually the easiest option, and the one most people choose — DIFC, Business Bay, Media City, Internet City, JLT, Downtown. I set up in a meeting room and we are done inside the hour. If you would rather not shoot at work, we can use a location that suits the way you want to be seen: a quiet corner of a hotel, a rooftop at the end of the day, somewhere outdoors before the heat arrives. Tell me what the images are for and I will suggest something. I also cover Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.

Booking a team instead?

If you need the whole company photographed consistently — one background, one light, matching results across twenty or two hundred people — that is a different job with different logistics, and it lives on my corporate site: Corporate headshots in Dubai.

Individual sessions start from 1,200 AED. What moves the number is how many different looks and backgrounds you want, how many final retouched images you need, and whether we shoot at your office or somewhere that takes more setting up. Team and company sessions are quoted separately and are handled through my corporate site.

I come to you. I bring a full portable studio — lights, backgrounds, the lot — and set up in your office, a meeting room, or at home. Most sessions in Dubai happen in the client’s own building, usually in DIFC, Business Bay or Media City. If you would rather shoot on location, that works too.

About 45-90 minutes. That is enough time for several changes of look and background without it turning into an afternoon. If you only need one clean profile picture, it is shorter.

Bring two or three options in the register you actually work in — if you never wear a tie, do not start now. Solid colours photograph better than busy patterns, and mid-tones better than pure white or pure black. Bring one layer you can add or remove; a jacket on and off gives you two visibly different pictures from the same setup.

Within 2 working days of the session. You review a gallery first and choose which frames get the full retouch, so what you receive is what you actually picked.
