Hi, I’m Christophe Viseux, a destination wedding and couples photographer who works with clients from Canada, the United States and around the world. St Kitts and Nevis is a two-island nation in the Eastern Caribbean, and it packs a lot of scenery into a small space. In a single day, you can go from a rainforest to a volcanic peak to a quiet beach. The islands feel relaxed and uncrowded, so you can be yourselves in front of the camera. What I love most is the light. Caribbean sunsets here turn the sky gold, then pink, then deep blue, often in under 30 minutes. I always save that moment for portraits.

My Favorite Photo Locations in St Kitts

Timothy Hill Overlook

Timothy Hill is my favorite viewpoint on St Kitts. From the top, you see the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. It makes a breathtaking backdrop for engagement photos.

Brimstone Hill Fortress

Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with old stone walls, cannons and sweeping sea views. It’s perfect if you love history and texture.

Romney Manor and Cockleshell Bay

Romney Manor has lush tropical gardens and a giant saman tree that is centuries old. For beach photos, Cockleshell Bay gives you soft sand with the island of Nevis rising right across the water.

My Favorite Photo Locations in Nevis

Nevis is quieter, greener and wonderfully romantic. Clouds often gather around the top of Nevis Peak, and Pinney’s Beach stretches for miles along the west coast. Historic plantation inns such as Montpelier Plantation and Golden Rock Inn offer stone ruins, gardens and mountain views. Fun fact: Admiral Horatio Nelson married Frances Nisbet on Nevis in 1787. The two islands sit about 3 km apart across a channel called The Narrows. A short ferry or water taxi ride means you can easily include both islands in your wedding weekend.

When to Book Your St Kitts and Nevis Photoshoot

The best time for a photoshoot in St Kitts and Nevis is December to April, during the dry season. You’ll get sunny days, lower humidity and calm seas. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November, with the highest risk from August to October. Weddings in those months can still be beautiful, but I always recommend travel insurance and a flexible backup plan.
