Getting married at Chateau de la Durantie is a great way to enjoy this special day in the French countryside. This venue, which was built by the Duke of Isly in 1840, is situated just outside Lanouaille in the Dordogne region, a beautiful area of southwest France that is full of bucolic landscapes and is home to a relaxed pace of life. The grounds have hosted hundreds of weddings and can accommodate about 150 guests for those events. Included on this recently renovated property are reception rooms, a pair of master suites and 14 bedrooms. More than 4,500 square feet of elegantly decorated rooms are available with much of that area adorned with treasured antiques while 43 people can stay overnight in these luxurious accommodations.
Guests often take advantage of opportunities to play soccer, tennis or ping pong or go swimming while on the grounds. Additionally, many head off to a golf course or a lake that offers various water activities, both of which are located within a 10-minute trip from Chateau de la Durantie. Various markets and villages in the surrounding area can be explored as well.
